ELT Buzz Digest - Jan. 19th
All the "buzz" in English language teaching this week.

Dear Teachers,
Find below our weekly digest for your browsing pleasure.
My reading tip this week is Geoff Jordan’s post about emergentism, input and noticing. He describes these and notes for us their weaknesses as theories of how learners turn sounds into language. A lot to process and it underlines how we still don’t have a firm, strong theory of how language “blooms” in each person - especially a 2nd language learner. My own thought is that the answer certainly isn’t “memory” and remembering language (a jab at the short term cram/test industry) - I’ll leave it at that!
Call To Action! A request. Have you subscribed to my ELT Buzz English YouTube channel yet? Really making a strong effort and your support appreciated!
