Video Lessons - Pretty Ugly
A poem that really hits home on the issue of body image and social emotional learning. Students read the poem one way (negatively) and then in reverse for a positive message.
This poem presents a dichotomy between beautiful and ugly. It showcases the battle between the positive and negative forces that play within our mind and who wins.
It brings forth the power of positive affirmations to always think of not just yourself but each and every individual as a beautiful creation of God no matter how big or small.
