The ELT Buzz Digest - March 31st
All the "buzz" in English language teaching this week.

Dear Teachers,
Find below our weekly digest for your browsing pleasure.
This week, I’d like to recommend the reading of this WSJ article detailing why so many seemingly sane individuals (some even with advanced degrees) believe LLMs are “conscious” and even feel, have sentience. It’s of course, poppycock but alas, this powerful undercurrent in us that judges language fluency and assigns “human” is it work. The article details what’s happening. Happy reading!
