The ELT Buzz Digest - March 3rd
All the "buzz" in English language teaching this week.

Dear Teachers,
Our weekly digest - find it below, for your browsing pleasure.
My tip this week is this fun Norwegian take on the “enshitification” of the internet. You’ll love the ending. It’s part of an explicit process with the aim of extracting every last penny possible from those trapped in its digital vices. Ai is just the latest model, use case of this process. As it applies to ed-tech, it’s a money pit with little return. But hey! The kids are busy (vast majority cheating) with the shiny object! Also, see this podcast NotebookLM style video about research and what works when teaching ELLs. (No, I’m not totally against the use of AI!).
