The ELT Buzz Digest - September 2nd
All the "buzz" in English language teaching this week

Dear Subscribers,
In my own reading this week, it’s been a virtual carpet bombing of articles describing the Ai takeover of education. I’m skeptical. Who pays the bills to get these articles printed, who are the hype masters? Of course, teachers are checking out Ai but I still see a lot of teaching (my own included) as basic brick and mortar stuff (but so important). Beware of those with talk of “revolution” or “takeovers”. I remember ML, mobile learning, the MOOCs, then the Flipped Classroom. I could go on and further back … We are all adults, I value each of our decisions. What I do want though is an outcome, change that is driven by classroom teachers NOT the techno-marketeers and consultants and social media ed drifters. Let’s be vigilant. Enjoy the articles below!
