Dear Teachers,
When I started ELT Buzz several years ago, the mission was simple and still is … inform teachers about issues that matter in English language teaching. Job #1 was creating a directory, a place where all teachers but especially new teachers entering the field could find information in one place. I think we’ve done that - just search and find important, vetted info. on all kinds of topics.
One important topic in our profession has been that of “native speakerism”. I still feel, though progress is being made, that we need more awareness, more pressure set - so the promise that all teachers will be treated fairly, on the bases of merit, is met.
Thanks,
David - ELT Buzzer-in-Chief
